　　關於Nicolas Potel有許多的故事可以說:布根地教父級釀酒師Gerard Potel之子；被趕離有自己名字的酒商Maison Nicolas Potel；被迫放棄使用自己名字的酒莊Domaine Nicolas Potel…．一番整頓後重新成立了Domaine de Bellene，追尋父母親及自己的理念不斷找尋最高品質的風土與葡萄，尤其是老藤．以自然動力法耕作，回歸最自然的生態．此外Nicolas懷抱的遠大理想，不僅限於自己釀造的葡萄酒中，在不斷尋找布根地許多葡萄園中，發現許多等待被採摘的好葡萄，而進而成立Maison Roche de Bellene，透過與葡萄農仲介公司的貿易合作將Nicolas欣賞卻零碎或面積過於狹小葡萄園中的高品質葡萄果實採摘下來(只選用40年以上優質老藤)，釀造成有自身風格且出眾的布根地美酒．
