Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur

Gros家族在Vosne-Romanée生產葡萄酒的歷史可以追溯到160多年以前，最早先是以Domaine Gros-Renaudot為名，擁有在Richebourg、Clos de Vougeot、Grand Echezeaux和 Echezeaux等重要產區中的頂級葡萄園。家產在1963年分家成四份，由其中大女兒Collette和大兒子Gustave所分得的部份合併組成了Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur。由於這兩人都沒有子嗣(未婚)，所以在1980年找來姪子二弟Jean的兒子Bernard Gros協助釀酒。從1984年起，便全權交由Bernard獨立經營，Bernard雖然年紀輕，但由於生長在葡萄酒世家，自小耳濡目染，對於葡萄園的管理與釀酒，自有相當獨到的見解。他陸續購買一些相當不錯的Hautes Côtes de Nuits的葡萄園，分別種植Pinot Noir和Chardonnay，也幾乎重新栽種了所有葡萄園將近90%的葡萄樹，以追求更高品質的葡萄。在釀酒的方面，他一方面遵循家族的傳統，一方面也引入現代的設備與技法，所有的葡萄皆採用手工採收、篩選，100%去梗之後放入大型的水泥槽中進行發酵。他偏好自行去購買原材加以風乾之後交由製桶廠來代製為理想標準的橡木桶，所有的酒除了Hautes Côtes de Nuits之外都是使用100%的新木桶來進行陳年培醞，而Hautes Côtes de Nuits則是使用Vonse-Romanée使用過1~2年的木桶。

經過20幾年來的經營，Bernard Gros把原先屬於姑姑與大伯所擁有的Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur招牌擦得更亮，除了因為擁有難得的Richebourg、Grands Echezeaux、Echezeaux以及就位在Musigny旁的Clos de Vougeot Musigni等四塊頂級園的得天獨厚因素之外，他自身對釀酒事業的投入與心血，才是造就今日不凡名聲的最重要原因。全世界的酒迷幾乎沒有不認識暱稱為金盃的Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur，這樣得肯定就是把代表勝利的榮耀獎杯頒給Bernard Gros！而後繼有人的Bernard，也高興地宣布經過長時間的磨練和觀察，其兒子Vincent將正式擔綱釀酒的工作。

Discreet but perceptible hints of wood toast and menthol are present on the ripe black cherry and more spice-inflected aromas. There is fine volume, especially for the Hautes Côtes, on the delicious flavors that exude touches of minerality and bitter pit fruit on the lightly rustic finale.
