Benjamin Romeo-Bodega Contador

當Benjamin Remeo還是個小孩時，因為看到祖父與父親對葡萄園與葡萄酒的熱情，就已經啟發他對葡萄酒這個偉大的國度的無比興趣。當他從馬德里葡萄酒學校畢業之後，就開始投入葡萄種植管理與釀酒的行列。在1985年他擔任剛由五名葡萄農所組成的Artadi酒莊的釀酒師工作，一直到2000年他離開的短短十幾年期間，他成功的讓原本僅如合作社般的Artadi成為家喻戶曉的國際知名酒莊。

在Artadi晚後期Benjamin也同時在他的家鄉附近陸續購買優質葡萄園，開始打造他自己理想中的酒莊。在Rioja的San Vicente de la Sonsierra，Benjamin擁有約七公頃的葡萄園，一半是La Vina de Andres單一葡萄園，其餘一半樹齡介於45~100年期間的葡萄園均分成20個不同的區塊，稱之為El Saúco,El Bullón,Azkueta,Mindiarte,San Juan,Asnillas。所有的葡萄園都是在海拔400~600 公尺左右，溫暖的氣候讓葡萄比北邊的Brina早兩周成熟，可釀成酒體豐厚但卻仍然均衡多酸的上等葡萄酒。Benjamin並且也購買了一些中古世紀的地窖(grotto)來當作葡萄酒的陳年培醞的地方，其中一個地窖就坐落於一座鐘塔的地下，這座鐘塔之後也成為畫像繪製於他的第一款酒La Cueva del Contador(1996年份)和得到Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate罕見的連續100分最高評價的旗艦酒款Contador的酒標上。

Benjamin是天生的完美主義者，注重所有的種植與釀造過程，連酒莊所使用的軟木塞它都親自到Extremadura產區逐顆挑選生產軟木的樹，而其中有一些也恰巧是供應Chateau Petrus的相同樹源。凡事親力親為，加上對葡萄酒無比的熱情，Benjamin Remeo打造的Bodega Contador所生產的各款葡萄酒，儼然成為西班牙的膜拜酒，加上產量極低，誠為了全世界愛酒人世瘋狂追逐的必入手酒款。

2007/08 La Cueva del Contador RP93(07)/94(08)現貨特價****.-

2008: The 2008 La Cueva de Contador is 100% Tempranillo aged for 18 months in new French oak. This purple-colored Rioja offers up a striking nose of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, lilacs, espresso, and blackberry. Savory, ripe, sweetly-fruited, and incipiently complex, it will evolve for 6-8 years and drink well through 2028, if not longer. However, it lacks the depth of great vintages such as 2001, 2004, and 2005.

2007: The 2007 La Cueva del Contador is the second wine of Contador with final selection of the bunches based on taste. ML is in barrel and the wine is aged for 12 months in new French oak. Purple-colored, it displays a slightly reticent bouquet of smoke, mineral, Asian spices, violets, black cherry, and blackberry compote. On the palate it is dense, layered, savory, voluminous, and impeccably balanced. This lengthy effort demands 5-7 years of cellaring and will deliver prime time drinking from 2015 to 2032.

2007: The 2007 La Vina de Andres Romeo is a saturated purple color with an alluring aromatic array of smoke, mineral, lavender, Asian spices, leather, black cherry, and blackberry. This leads to a dense, mouth-filling, rich, plush offering that is structured for the long haul. This beautifully balanced wine will profit from a minimum of 6-8 years of cellaring and will be at its best from 2016 to 2037. Patience is required!
