Clos des Goisses, Philipponnat

     Clos des Goisses全香檳區最著名的單一葡萄園，位於Mareuil-sur-Ay村，面積為5.5公頃，雖名為clos但除了底部一小段的石牆外，並不像Krug的Clos du Mesnil或d’Ambonnay一樣全園由圍牆所包，而稱為Clos des Goisses是因此片園獨特優異地理位置，整片位於近30~45度陡峭的山坡上，海拔高度約80~105公尺，由於全部是南南向坡，加上鄰近運河與瑪恩河的調整，讓這片園自成特殊的微氣候區(microclimate)，均溫比同產區其他區塊高上1.5℃，要有這樣的區域型均溫，至少要往南400公里一直到布根地地區，單單較高溫度，就足以造就Clos des Goisses有著得天獨厚之孕育優質葡萄的條件，再加上超過好幾個世紀的填土堆肥之耕種作業，讓這裡的表土深達25~50公分，相當有利於葡萄的生長。這些條件，相當適合嬌貴的Pinot Noir生長，因此全園三分之二種植PN，另三分之一為Chardonnay，加上土壤中接近30%的活性石灰含量，讓這裡出產的酒更具勁道，含有更多礦物的馨香，風格反而比較接近隔鄰以盛產PN著名的特級園村莊-Ay。

    Philipponnat家族在16世紀從瑞士移民到法國，直到1912開始創立酒莊從事香檳事業，在1935年購入了含Clos des Goisses在內共6公頃的葡萄園後，很快的便決定將出產自Clos des Goisses的葡萄區分開來單獨發酵釀造，在第二次世界大戰期間才開始以”Vin des Goisses”或”Les Goisses”的標籤單獨裝瓶，一直要到1956年，終於確認開始以”Clos des Goisses”命名這一塊葡萄園所生產出來的香檳(P.S.市面上仍可以找得到1956之前年份的Clos des Goisses，是因為這些年份是在1956年之後才釋出上市)。獨特無比的Clos des Goisses，以其得天獨厚的條件，幾乎每一年都能孕育出健康的成熟葡萄，每個年份都能生產出高品質的香檳，這塊寶地不但成為Philipponnat傲視群雄的珍貴珍產，這也難怪乎，日本的Wine Kingdom雜誌特別推崇Clos des Goisses為香檳區的Romanée Conti。

    星澈酒品為您獻上新上市的Philipponnat Clos des Goisses2005，以65%Pinot Noir和35%Chardonnay調配，經過近十年的漫長培醞才大功告成；同時也獻上更特別的2000年份延長培醞版(Long Vieillissement)，因Clos des Goisses極優異的風土條件造就了驚人的陳年實力，經過光陰的淬鍊，更益發其非凡的質感與深度，除了推出約經十年培醞而除渣的一般版外，每年還會保留部分庫存，特意延長瓶中培醞的時間，如2000年份的一般版約在2009年底除渣於2010上市，而2000Long Vieillissement則是在2014下半年進行除渣，多了五年的培醞，呈現出更多2000好年份的細膩層次與精彩風味，是喜好老香檳酒迷最不可多得的珍稀佳釀。

Not surprisingly, the 2005 Clos des Goisses is still very much a baby. At once dense yet also compact, the 2005 has almost an animal sense of power to it, along with elements of austerity that need time to soften. Brioche, apple tart and smoke are nicely delineated in the bouquet, but otherwise, the 2005 is not giving up much today. As always, Clos des Goisses is built for cellaring. The only question is how long it will be before the 2005 is ready to deliver maximum pleasure. Disgorged November 2013. 2000 Clos des Goisses “Long Vieillissement” 預購現金價****.-

Philipponnat's 2000 Clos des Goisses is an excellent choice for drinking today, as there is less upside than in some of the other surrounding vintages. This is a distinctly savory Goisses with more than enough phenolic weight and richness to support many years of cellaring, although I do not expect to see a lot of improvement from here. Hints of sage and mint add nuance on the close. The 2000 is a beautiful and highly expressive Goisses, but its place in the hierarchy of vintages is quite apparent in this epic tasting.
